Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole daughter from Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former employee of a plant. She was born on 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her siblings. Stone was considered to be academically gifted when she started the second grades at five. In 1975 she was a graduate of Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). Additionally, she participated in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone moved with her aunt from New Jersey, where she pursued a career in modeling. In the following month, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. In Europe, she lived for a year in Milano and Paris. Stone was, however, frustrated with modeling and acting in Europe. She chose to pursue her career acting as a model while she was in Europe. Woody Allen's film, "Stardust Memories", was a mixed success in her 20s.
