
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is an attacking player. She is also the captain of the San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division for women's professional soccer. From 2018 until 2020, she was a co-captain of the American women's national soccer team along with Megan Rappinoe. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at the number one spot in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her degree from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional with the club and assisted the team win their league championship. Morgan aged 22 at the time was the youngest player on the national team in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, which the team finished second. At the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goal in the 123rd minute in the semi-final clash against Canada. She was second in the United States to have 20 goals and 21 assists in 2012, which makes her the sixth and youngest player in the country to achieve 20 goals in one year. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also selected as a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan played a key role in helping the United States winning their titles during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2019. She was selected for both the Dream Team for both tournaments. In 2019, she won the Silver Boot.
